The Instituto de Investigaciones en Comportamiento Alimentario y Nutrición (IICAN) has maintained a constant commitment to the study of eating behavior. This second special issue of the Journal of Behavior and Feeding marks the closing of the celebrations for the XV years of CICAN - IICAN and reflects the diversity of approaches and contributions generated in this discipline. This edition recognizes the work of the alumni of IICAN's graduate programs in Behavioral Science, who have expanded knowledge in eating behavior and contributed to the development of strategies to address problems related to feeding and health. Their publications include a perspective article on the impact of sensory disability on eating; a study on risky eating behaviors, body perception and body mass index in adolescents from Jalisco; and two reviews. One of these analyzes the relationship between inflammation and eating behavior, exploring the role of cytokines in the regulation of appetite and pleasure associated with eating, while the other examines how adverse conditions during gestation may influence eating and obesity in adulthood. In addition, this volume introduces for the first time the IICAN Graduate Student Perspectives section, a space where Master's and Doctoral students present reflections on relevant topics in the discipline. This section strengthens academic exchange and represents an opportunity for training in scientific communication. Finally, a review on the impact of technological advances on food preparation and nutritional quality is included. With this edition, the Journal of Behavior and Feeding reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence, thematic plurality and the consolidation of new lines of research in eating behavior.
