Comportamiento alimentario del consumidor mexicano y su relación con la sostenibilidad de su dieta

Los recursos naturales se agotan, la salud de los seres humanos se deteriora. El mundo necesita un cambio urgente en el comportamiento alimentario de sus habitantes. La alternativa más recomendable es adoptar un comportamiento alimentario sostenible. Sin embargo, para comprender mejor el consumo sostenible y promover su comportamiento, es importante considerar los aspectos socioeconómicos, culturales, políticos, además de la accesibilidad a alimentos sostenibles. En este artículo se proporciona una conceptualización del comportamiento del consumidor y se abordan los problemas relacionados con la sostenibilidad en México y el compromiso que puede tener o no el consumidor con ella, así como los desafíos que se pueden encontrar para promover este tipo de comportamiento. Este estudio se presenta como una perspectiva para abrir debate en la búsqueda de objetivos universales para promover un consumo saludable, proambiental y sostenible.
