This issue is an academic celebration of the first XV years of the study of Eating Behavior from the infrastructure of what was the Centro de Investigaciones en Comportamiento Alimentario y Nutrición (CICAN) of the University of Guadalajara, which later became an institute. The quality of the research carried out here, made it one of the first Research Institutes of the University network, now known as Instituto de Investigaciones en Comportamiento Alimentario y Nutrición (IICAN). The transformation of CICAN-IICAN, like all processes in academic life, has always been a function of integrating new scientific perspectives, explanations and innovative developments to strengthen its object of study: eating behavior. The mission from its creation to this first stage of maturity has been achieved satisfactorily and has even exceeded expectations.
