About the Journal

As a result of the growth experienced in recent years by the Instituto de Investigaciones en Comportamiento Alimentario y Nutrición (IICAN) of Universidad de Guadalajara, the means of disseminating its scientific and academic work have diversified.

In 2021, the Journal of Behavior and Feeding was founded.

This is a semiannual open access publication, with no fees or article processing charges, which includes original and unpublished research articles, reviews and commentaries/perspectives on topics related to eating  behavior, nutrition, and human and animal feeding.

The main objective of the journal is to disseminate knowledge, opinions, and reflections on the phenomenon of feeding from different scientific perspectives.

Areas of interest include:

The scientific study of eating behavior and nutrition from the perspectives of experimental psychology, nutrition, biology, ecology, medicine, food science, anthropology, sociology, genetics, physiology, biochemistry, immunology, neurophysiology, tourism, and legal frameworks at both national and international levels; chronobiology of feeding, survival in extreme environments, nutrition in physical activity and sports, food production systems, sensory analysis, molecular biology, food preferences, and any other discipline related to human or animal feeding.
